    Memorial Public Collinsville Library

    Collinsville LibraryThe Collinsville Memorial Public Library Center is located at 408 West Main Street. Library Hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Sunday 1 - 5p.m. A library card is free to anyone living or owning property within the city limits of Collinsville. The non-resident fee is based on the taxable value of their property tax statement with a minimum cost of $30 per year. The Library is a member of the Lewis and Clark Library System which provides service for more than 800 libraries in Illinois through interlibrary loan for registered borrowers.     Collinsville Historical Museum

    The Collinsville Historical Museum is located at 406 West Main Street. Visit the Collinsville Historical Museum and learn about Collinsville’s rich history including coal mining, early settlements, military documents and journals from the Civil War to the present, local school and sports, business, industry and domestic life. Research assistance, field trips and group tours are available.

    CCTV - City of Collinsville Television
    The City of Collinsville’s television channel is dedicated to what is happening in the City. CCTV will air bulletins throughout the day advising citizens of the different events around the City as well as a monthly talk show, Collinsville Today, that focuses on a different topic of interest each month.     Trash Collection

    The City of Collinsville contracts with Allied Waste/Republic Services, a private trash hauler, to operate in the city limits. The service can be established at the same time as water and sewer service and is billed with these other services on a bi-monthly cycle by the City of Collinsville. Recycling services are also included. Yard waste pickup is available on a weekly basis. Residents who desire yard waste pickup must contract directly with Allied Waste/Republic Services for this service. For information call (618) 656-6883 or visit www.disposal.com.

    Open Burning Ordinance

    City Ordinance No. 2848 prohibits open burning of leaves, brush, grass, wood, tree limbs, rubbish, garbage, trash, or other combustible materials within City limits. Any person violating this ordinance is subject to a fine not to exceed $750.00 for each offense. If interested, you may sign up for yard waste service by contacting Allied Waste/Republic Services at (618)656-6883. The cost for the service is per quarter (three month period).     Fall & Spring Clean Up

    Allied Waste/Republic Service provides a free large item pick-up for residents in the spring and fall of each year. Large items include furniture, television, hot water heaters, mattress sets, large carpets (cut into manageable bundles), and other debris from the home. Concrete, shingles, and other construction debris are prohibited. The spring cleanup is usually scheduled in April and the fall clean up in October.     Electronic Recycling

    Electrical devices are prohibited from regular waste removal in the state of Illinois.  Electronic and appliance recycling drop off is available the second SATURDAY of the month every month except January at the public parking lot located at Main & Seminary (227 W.     The City of Collinsville's Police Department's mission is to protect and serve the residents, businesses, property and visitors of the City.     Shuttle Bus

    The City of Collinsville provides a FREE Senior shuttle bus service for citizens 60 years and older and the disabled. The bus runs within the city limits Monday-Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please call (618) 346-5200 EXT 151.
