Mechanical Draftsman
Job Summary: We are looking for a Mechanical Draftsman to join a growing team. Duties include:
· Use computer aided design and drafting systems to prepare drawings
· Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, to create and complete set of fabrication drawings and specs
· Utilizes Word, Excel and nesting software in the creation and use of various electronic forms.
· Work closely with production planning to optimize design for cost and fabrication efficiency
· Work, coordinate and interact with vendors for the fabrication of parts
· Assist other functions as needed, such as purchasing, quality, customer service, and sales
· Working with and maintaining customer relationships
Location:Alton, IL
Position type: Full time, Evaluation Hire
Pay: $25/hr-$32/hr, BOE

· Associates degree, preferably in drafting and/or design is preferred
· 3 years of CAD and drafting experience is necessary
· Knowledge of mechanical drawing and design principles
· Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor docs, specs and electrical diagrams
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Positive attitude, detail oriented, team player, with ability to mulit-task
· Ability or knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word, Outlook
· Familiar with machines, tools, equipment operation & capability
