    Job Description

    Reports to: Office Manager

    Full-Time Position

    M-F (7:30AM - 4:30PM)

     

    Summary: The Accounting/Payroll Administrator compiles and maintains payroll records for both union and
    non-union employees. They are responsible for accurately entering information into accounting legers and
    providing accurate reporting to the Office Manager.

     

    Essential Duties:

    - Compiles payroll data such as hours worked; sales volume; bonuses, and commissions; monies to be withheld for taxes; employee
    contributions to insurance and retirement plans; etc., from time sheets and other records

    - Updates master payroll records by verifying and recording changes affecting net wages such as federal and state tax exemptions,
    insurance coverage, etc., and data concerning compensation increases, promotions and/or transfer of employees between departments

    - Prepares and issues paychecks

    - Keeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wages

    - Prepares/files all hiring and termination paperwork including COBRA letters

    - Maintains records for paid-time-off and sick-day eligibility

    - Processes all employee insurance forms and insurance payments in coordination with the office manager

    - Understands employee payroll issues, and communicates solutions effectively, professionally, and respectfully 

    - Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings 

    - Maintain professional and courteous attitude, wardrobe, and grooming

    - Other tasks as assigned

     

    Qualifications:

    - High school diploma or general education degree required 

    - Two years related experience required

    - Accounting experience/knowledge required 

    - Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

    - Proficient in basic math skills

    - Proficient in Microsoft Office products
